Old Colorado Inn Hotel
Several years ago, Stuart real estate attorney Steven Vitale invested in some downtown buildings, including one built in 1914 as a hotel. He subsequently decided to renovate them into a boutique hotel spread over two buildings and a cottage. The Old Colorado Inn Hotel, named for the avenue it’s on, has 15 rooms and three tenant restaurants. The investment was “a lot of money, millions of dollars,” Vitale says. It’s working out. “We had a very successful season. There’s something about the historic charm of downtown Stuart and the charm of the inn.”
